On Friday, June 27th we have booked the NAU Traveling Arthropod Bug Show presented by NAU instructor, Robert Delph. He is coming with all his bugs, dead and alive, with lots of instruction about bugs and their place in our world.  A little more info in the website  would be great.
 

On Friday, July 18th we will be having our Summer Reading Session "Reward Luncheon" featuring the Creepy Crawly Bug Café.  The children will make their own lunch.  The menu includes:  Cocoon Caterpillars; Ants on a Log; Ritzy Spiders; Dirt Worm Farm; and Mosquito Juice!

NEW COMPUTER FOR THE CHILDREN!

 

Kids need to come into the library and check out our brand spanking new children’s computer with terrific sound.  Also lots of super new computer games!

There are lots of fiction, science fiction, non fiction, and biographies, too.  We have a special section all set up just for the new books.  Teens need to check out it out!!

ATTENTION HOME SCHOOLING PARENTS!

 

The Isabelle Hunt Memorial Public Library in Pine, Arizona wants to provide services and programs for the home schooled children (grades K – 12) in the Pine/Strawberry area.  We need ideas and input from parents to help us determine what kinds of services and programs we should begin first.

Parents, please stop by the Pine Library and fill out an anonymous Home School Survey.  We sure need and will greatly appreciate your help!

Stories, Games, Activities, Songs, Dance, and Fun!

 

The Pine Library is proud to partner with the Pine/Strawberry School to provide Enrichment Activities for Pine/Strawberry.

 

Currently we have in place, a weekly 45 minute Drama Workshop with the Junior High Students.  Also, the weekly After-School Enrichment is for students in the After-School Program at the school, but all area children, ages 6-10 are welcome and invited to join the fun!

ABOUT OUR NEW YOUTH PROGRAM COORDINATOR

SANDY CARVER is a retired school teacher and has lived in Pine for the past 2 years.  She was the drama director at Red Mountain High School in East Mesa for many years, and also taught various English classes including Speech, Debate and the Humanities.

 

Sandy is developing programs of interest to High School and Jr. High School students. Her goal is to provide enrichment programs and activities that will encourage the young adults in our community to get involved in, have fun and learn something new.
